Why I started Ikigai.
I started Ikigai AI Integration on one simple belief: technology should give people their focus back.
Founder
Hi, I'm Drewe.
I'm an AI builder and teacher in Victoria, BC.
Since February 2026, I've worked inside a Canadian energy-efficiency company as their AI and app builder. I build the apps their teams use every day, move years of records into them, and teach staff to build tools of their own.
Before that, I studied people and data: a BA in Psychology (2008) and a diploma in Data Science (2024). I also launched a times-table education company and taught high school music in Ontario.
That mix shapes how I work. I build carefully, I check the numbers, and I explain things in plain language.
Off the clock, I'm freediving and spearfishing, behind a camera, or training for my next triathlon.
My story
In my own career, I kept seeing the same problem: brilliant, creative people trapped in a cycle of repetitive tasks. Businesses with powerful missions, bogged down by the daily grind of operational friction.
I realized that the "future of work" wasn't just about better technology. It was about better focus.
What if I could use AI not just for efficiency, but to free businesses and their people to pursue their true purpose?
